Beginner Session
Our Beginner Wakeboarding Sessions are the perfect way to try wakeboarding for the first time in a relaxed, supportive environment. Running from 10am–12pm, these two-hour sessions take place on our main cable, which operates slower than usual to help new riders build confidence and progress at their own pace.
Every session includes expert coaching throughout. You’ll start on kneeboards, allowing you to get used to the cable and water movement safely. Once you’ve completed two consecutive laps, our coaches will guide you onto a wakeboard, helping you take your next steps on the water when you’re ready.
Your session includes a helmet, wakeboard, and buoyancy aid, with wetsuit hire available for £5 if needed. No previous experience is required — just bring swimwear, a towel, and a willingness to give it a go.
2-Hour & Day Passes
Our 2-Hour Wakeboarding Passes and Day Passes are ideal for riders who want more time on the water and the freedom to ride at their own pace. Sessions run on our main cable at standard speed, making them best suited to confident beginners and experienced riders.
For safety, all riders must start on kneeboards. Once two consecutive laps have been completed, riders can then progress onto a wakeboard.
Your pass includes a helmet and buoyancy aid. Wakeboard hire is an additional extra, and wetsuit hire is available if required.
These sessions are recommended for riders who have completed a beginner session or are already comfortable riding on the cable.
If you’re looking for flexibility, progression, and maximum ride time, our 2-Hour and Day Passes are a great way to make the most of your time at Whitemills Wake.

Cable Kids Club
Our Kids Club Wakeboarding Sessions run every Saturday morning during the Summer Holidays from 8:00am to 10:00am and are perfect for children aged 6+. With a slower-speed cable designed for beginners, kids can learn at their own pace, build confidence, and enjoy an exciting start to their weekend on the water.
Whether they’re taking their first ride on a kneeboard or progressing to a wakeboard once they’ve completed two laps, every session is packed with thrills, skills, and water-based fun — all while being supervised by a parent or guardian on the lake.

1-2-1 Coaching
Our System 2.0 beginner wakeboarding session—also known as the straight-line cable—is perfect for all ages and abilities. Paired with a Ringo ride, it’s a fun, safe way to learn the basics, build confidence, and have a blast on the water.
Because the cable moves at a slower speed, beginners can get up on the board easily and progress at their own pace. All equipment is included, with wetsuits available to hire if needed.

Ladies Wake & Cake
Our Ladies Wake & Cake session runs every Wednesday from 10am–12pm on our main cable.
This slower, beginner-friendly session is designed to help less experienced riders build confidence and enjoy the water. All wakeboarding equipment is included, with wetsuit hire available for £5 extra, and every session finishes with coffee and cake for a relaxed, social finish.
