Good place friendly vibes all round dock staff will coach you and help you get off the dock. If you fall 20 times don't be discouraged the dock team will help you achieve your first ride just ask dont be scared theyre a friendly bunch. We waited an hour and a half for our food, asking three separate times where it was. Each time we were told, “just another 10 minutes.” After all that waiting, we were finally told they couldn’t even find our order ticket. We ended up leaving without any food at all, after wasting an hour and a half, with a hungry 5-year-old who had been waiting patiently the entire time. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and repeatedly telling us “10 more minutes” instead of checking what had gone wrong was completely unacceptable. A sincere apology and some effort to put things right would have gone a long way, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Perfect place for learning or practising wakeboard, make sure you book the beginner session with lower speed of cable to start with (25km instead of 30km). Compact and fun aqua park for kids. The restaurant near the lake has good food and beer which makes the place pleasant also for people that just hang around. Kids friendly. Free carpark. We stayed at the caravan site. The facilities are good. Walking distance to Sandwich town center.
